What's the difference between steam brewing, boiling and steeping tea?
Steam Brewing: The high-temperature steam enables water to rise and spray onto the tea leaves, forming droplets of tea. Release delicate flavors and aromas of tea leaves. Suitable for oolong tea, white tea, pu-erh tea, black tea, dark tea, and floral tea.
Boiling: Directly placing tea leaves in water, bringing it to a boil.
Strong brewing method, suitable for harder or longer-fermented teas, such as herbal teas, heavily fermented oolong tea and pu-erh tea.
Steeping: Placing tea leaves in hot water and allowing them to soak for a period.
Gentle brewing method, suitable for tender tea such as green tea, light oolong tea, and floral tea.
If the K1763 is used with the brewing basket, can only the "Brew" function be used?
Yes, if other functions are used, the steam brewing and spraying effect cannot be achieved.
Can the brewing basket parts be washed in a dishwasher or disinfected in a sterilization cabinet?
All parts of the brewing basket can be placed in the dishwasher. After washing, promptly take them out to air-dry.
When disinfecting in a sterilization cabinet, remove the silicone ring on top. Only the stainless steel brewing basket components can enter the sterilization cabinet because the UV and ozone in the cabinet can affect the lifespan of the silicone ring.
Is there anything I should be careful about when using this kettle?
Yes. Glass may crack or break under sudden temperature changes. To avoid this, don’t pour boiling water into a cold kettle or rinse a hot kettle with cold water. If you notice any cracks, stop using it and replace the kettle body to prevent further damage or potential safety risks.
