
Matcha Butter Cookies
Ingredients
- Unsalted butter (room temperature) - 130g
- Powdered sugar - 60g
- Egg yolks (~3 yolks) - 50g
- Cake flour - 200g
- Matcha powder - 10g
Steps
1. Prepare all the required ingredients. Let the butter soften at room temperature, and mix the egg yolk mixture; set aside.
2. Beat softened butter and powdered sugar until pale, fluffy, and creamy.
3. Gradually incorporate egg yolks in 2-3 batches, mixing well after each addition.
4. Sift in cake flour and matcha powder.
5. Use a spatula to combine until just mixed (no lumps and avoid overmixing).
6. Preheat to 170°C (340°F) in Bake Mode for 10 minutes.
7. Transfer dough to a piping bag. Pipe uniform shapes onto a non-stick baking tray or a tray with baking paper.
8. Bake 20 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Enjoy with iced matcha latte for the ultimate pairing!
