Creamy Salmon Chowder

Ingredients

  • Salmon fillets - 2 
  • Heavy cream - 80g 
  • Milk - 100ml 
  • Carrot (peeled, diced) - 1 
  • Baby potatoes (quartered) - 5 
  • Green peas - ½ cup 
  • Onion (sliced) - ½ 
  • Whole cloves - 3g 
  • Freshly ground black pepper 
  • Olive oil - 2 tbsp
  • Salt - ½ tsp 

 

Steps

1. Prepare the ingredients. Rinse the salmon and pat it dry with a paper towel.

 

2. Wash and peel the potatoes and carrots, then cut them into small pieces. Cut the onion into wedges.

 

3. On Sear/Sauté-Low mode, heat oil. Sear the salmon 2 mins per side until golden. Set aside. 

 

4. In the same pot, sauté the onion and cloves until fragrant. 

 

5. Add potatoes, carrots, and enough water to cover. Cook in Soup mode for 15 mins covered. 

 

6. Stir in cream, milk, peas, and salmon. Cook 10 more mins. 

 

7. Add salt, black pepper. Garnish with parsley/thyme. Enjoy!
